Sun-Young Rhyu concentrates his work on general corporate and corporate governance (including disputes relating to control), estate planning and business succession, civil and criminal litigation.
Mr. Rhyu has successfully counseled individual and corporate clients during nearly three decades of service. He is widely recognized in the Korean legal community for helping his clients navigate through difficult challenges in complex litigation cases. In 2014, Mr. Rhyu was a cocounsel advising Chairman Kun Hee Lee involving the inheritance to the control over the Samsung Group, which Mr. Lee won. Mr. Rhyu serves as a member of the Investment Review Committee of the Korea Teachers Pension and as an Expert Commissioner, Dispute Settlement Department of the Financial Supervisory Service.
